This month, EXACT has received additions to existing functionality along with several bugs fixed, helping to bring stability to EXACT functionality. These changes include an increase in the number of custom screen tabs that can be configured on the patient record, removal of some defunct Patient Portal options, and bug fixes for emails, SMS, Video, and X-rays.
Updates and changes:
๐ป Increased the number of allowed custom screen tabs from two to five, allowing more custom screens to be added to the patient record at one time.
๐ The email verification pop-up now uses an information icon, changed from a warning icon.
โ๏ธ The โre-request formsโ and โreset patient portalโ options have been removed from Patient Portal, since these are no longer required.
โ๏ธ A Sent/Received date column has been added to the patient contacts tab.
โ๏ธ The date in the column can be edited, this could be useful if you wish for the date to reflect the last communication date rather than the first sent date.
โ๏ธ The column itself cannot be removed from view.
Issue resolutions and bug fixes:
๐ Password resets verification emails will now be sent to users, regardless if email a practice has email is configured in EXACT.
๐ A bug causing duplicate follow-up emails or SMS being sent to one patient every ten minutes in specific scenarios has been resolved.
๐ Video and Xray tabs displaying only the first saved image in a series has been resolved โ upgrade EXACT. Any lost images caused by this issue should be restored upon upgrade.
๐ An issue causing users to be unable to import additional images or capture video has been fixed. Any lost images caused by this issue should be restored upon upgrade.
The updates and content in this blog have been implemented throughout September 2025 in versions 25.168 to 25.178 of EXACT.
